I'm Making an Official Announcement!
I think most of you who read my blog probably already know this little fact about me, however, just to be sure I've got my bases covered, I'm officially letting everyone know that I'm pregnant with child #3! I'm almost 13 weeks along and my due date is Aug. 28th. This pregnancy, so far, has been very different from my other 2 (I know, you're thinking GIRL! when I say that, but, we'll see...). I've been more nauseous, my face has totally been breaking out like crazy and the most fun difference has been an interesting little thing called heart palpitations. This is another reason why I'm posting this today, I went to Altaview hospital today so they could hook me up to a Holter Monitor to see what's going on with my heart. I have to wear all these electrodes and doodads for 24 hours, so I'm wearing my husband's sweatshirt in an attempt to disguise this thing I'm wearing, but yeah, if you see me in the next 24 hours, I'm thinking you'd notice something was different about me. At any rate, hopefully these heart thingies are just another fun pregnancy thing that will go away on their own, but just in case, feel free to say a little prayer for me today :) Thanks!

Ding Dong the Truck is Dead
We received some unwelcome, though not completely unexpected news last week: Steve's truck was toast. Pretty much, if he kept driving it, it was going to explode. I don't know if that's exactly what the mechanics told my husband, but it was some kind of situation like that. So, we are now a one car family. And you all know how much I love to be stuck at home! Whee! I'm going on a week and counting now and have yet to be dragged off to the insane asylum, but it does make finding a new vehicle a priority. We knew eventually one of our vehicles would bite the dust, and as the years ticked by, we knew that time would be sooner rather than later. So, we had talked about what we'd like to get next. Usually, the conversation would go something like this:
Me: Can we get a minivan?
Steve: Heck no!
However, two weeks before the truck's demise, there was a shocking turn of events. The conversation went like this:
Steve: You were right.
Me: I was? Enlighten me--about what?
Steve: We're going to have to get a minivan next.
Me: *passing out*
10 min time lapse...
Me: Cool!

We've started to do some research on minivans, but honestly, we don't know what we want. So, if any of you minivan owners would like to give your two cents on your buying experience or how you decided on what minivan to get, we would like to hear from you. Right now, I think we've got a few details narrowed down--we'd like a minivan made in the USA that's used and somewhere between $2000 and $6500. And preferably driven by an old couple for the last 8 years that went nowhere and vacuumed it out every week. Hahahaha! Ok people, let the ideas flow, we're listening...
Good bye old friend, sorry to be moving on without ya...

Tristan Tagged Me
I've been tagged by Tristan to write 6 things that make me happy.
Here are the rules: Link to the person who has tagged you. Write down six things that make you happy. Post the rules, tag six others and let them know you did it. Then tell the person when your entry is complete.
1. When Evan falls asleep by 8pm without much of a fight
2. When I remember at 11pm there's a huge pile of laundry on the bed I forgot to fold that is standing between me and my sleep, but then, when I walk up the stairs and into my room I find that my husband has already folded it!
3. Going out to eat and to a movie--without kids!
4. When I realize one of my prayers have just been answered
5. When I'm having a good day with the kids and realize the day is almost over and no one's had a tantrum yet!
6. arctic circle shakes
I tag my sis Jenn, Angela, Amy J., Robin, Mindi and Amy R.

Bad Kitchen
I've always had a love/hate relationship with my kitchen. I love having a kitchen, but I hate cleaning it. Plus, it's a needy little thing. Lately, no matter how much time I spend with it--putting dishes away, wiping its counters, going through its piles, it's never enough! It always is there, demanding more of my time, flaunting it's inability to stay clean in my face. It's just a rude, bad kitchen nowadays. I think we need some time apart. Or maybe some counseling. It'd go something like this:
Kitchen: I'd stay clean if only SHE wasn't such a slob!
Me: Oh yeah? who's the one that for years would go to bed late just so I could make sure you were clean before I got any rest?
Kitchen: Well, then where is the love NOW?
Me: ok, ok, I've been tired lately and a bit behind on the cleaning, but I always pay attention to you first. Doesn't that mean anything to you?
Kitchen: I swear you are cheating on me with the dining room. I notice how often you clean those new placemats.
Me: Sigh. Seriously, can't we go back to the way things were? Where I'd clean you and you'd actually look clean and stay clean for longer than 30 min?
Kitchen: Those days are gone now dear, you might as well face the facts and just deal with the new me.
Ok, so it'd be a lame counseling session, but it feels good to vent. Here's some pics to show you all how my kitchen typically looks nowadays. Look at them and weep for me!!!
